After the announcement of their forthcoming EP New Light last month, 'Out Of Here' picks up where Charlotte Spiral's atmospheric title track (see our List Pick here) left off. Focusing in on beautifully captured piano parts, you can hear the intimate creaks of the stool in the room as vocalist Amy Spencer spills somber melodies over the tastefully minimal instrumentation. Co-produced with Dan Carey over Zoom during the first lockdown, Spencer explains: “There is something about doing things over and over again in a monotonous way that makes a situation feel worse than it is, and I wanted to portray this throughout the song.” New Light will arrive on on the 9th of April. -Holly Mullineaux
